Carey Robertson has been the Principal Organist of Claremont United Church of Christ, Congregational since December, 1990. She is a member of the music faculty of Claremont Graduate University and teaches music at AB Miller High School in the Fontana Unified School District.
Dr. Robertson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in organ and piano performance from CSU, Northridge, where she studied with the late Dr. David Britton. She earned her Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees in keyboard studies and organ performance from the University of Southern California, where she studied with Cherry Rhodes. Throughout her career, she has been the recipient of numerous competition awards and was twice honored with the USC Organ Departmental Award in recognition of professional service, leadership and performance. She was also the recipient of the Phi Kappa Lambda award for superior academic achievement.
Dr. Robertson has been listed in “Who’s Who in the West” since 1996, and “Who’s Who in the World” since 1998. She is an active board member of the Ruth and Clarence Memorial Scholarship Fund, a non-profit corporation to assist young organists. She has performed extensively in the U.S. and Canada.
