As participants in Christ’s work of peace and justice, Claremont UCC is involved in a wide variety of mission and social action projects, including hands-on opportunities and donations of food, time, or money. Below are a few examples.

Board of Mission and Social Action

The Claremont UCC Board of Mission and Social Action provides opportunities for you to put your faith into action!  Ongoing mission projects include weekly food collections for the Inland Valley Hope Partners food bank, monthly letters written through Amnesty International, monthly community meals for low-income families, sponsorship of the Claremont Homeless Advocacy Program (CHAP), and our annual Alternative Christmas fair. Through the Board, the church supports missionaries around the world and participates in regional mission events like the annual Walk for the Hungry.

The Big Yellow Bin

As you enter Claremont United Church of Christ, you will notice “the big yellow bin” in the Narthex. Every Sunday, we accept contributions of non-perishable food items as part of our mission to feed the hungry.
